The "backbone" of anything is the main structure that smaller structures hang on. So in keeping with that analogy then the backbone of the US economy would be mining, manufacturing and agriculture. Small businesses hang off of that backbone.

Large corporations, like them or not, do most of the farming, mining and manufacturing. Without that real backbone the small businesses like restaurants for example etc would have no customers.

It is a basic concept.

No, that’s not quite true.

A better description would be to explain the gradual shift in our economy over two centuries from many small businesses as the backbone to fewer and fewer small businesses, with the rise of large corporations.

The globalists favor more large corporations because they facilitate control of the masses.

Patriots favor fewer large corporations and more small businesses because it allows for greater freedom and sovereignty of the individual.

Globalists are too low IQ to be able to state their understanding of individual sovereignty.

I have a basic concept for you. People who work for or own small businesses are also part of the economy and they are important and they are being crapped on. And I don’t dislike large corporations that happen to have decent jobs IN the USA.

You are really going out of your way to act like a jerk. And obviously Bob’s analogy is meant to state that small businesses are an important part of the economy.

I also agree that they are important, and I think Bob’s analogy is more accurate than yours saying that Small businesses “hang” off of that backbone like some sort of parasite.

Big corporations that do their manufacturing in China and other locations aren’t really providing much backbone to the workers in the USA. And if the Enviro Weenies have their way, there ain’t gonna be any mining either. And you’ll likely be wishing that some small farmer was available to get some food from when the SHTF.

So I’ll just conclude that you would rather denigrate small businesses and Bob’s analogy than to consider small business important. Or acknowledge that it’s a terrible thing what is deliberately being done to some of these people and their life’s work.

SMH. Go bother someone else with your anal attitude. Still arguing over an phrase and not acknowledging the real tragedy that is happening to hardworking Americans. 👎👎👎
