the backbone of our economy - small business

Myth

———-
Care to explain further than a one word smackdown? I don’t know if you are right or wrong, but a little backup for your statement would enable folks to draw a conclusion based on something more than “cenral_va said it so it must be true”.

Don’t waste your time. Well known poster is either communist or has other, unknown reasons for working against our country.

The "backbone" of anything is the main structure that smaller structures hang on. So in keeping with that analogy then the backbone of the US economy would be mining, manufacturing and agriculture. Small businesses hang off of that backbone.

Large corporations, like them or not, do most of the farming, mining and manufacturing. Without that real backbone the small businesses like restaurants for example etc would have no customers.

It is a basic concept.
