At some point I kind of expect to have a dozen “franken-trees” like that. Grafting a branch from a young seedling onto a mature tree is supposed to trick the branch into fruiting sooner. Since some of the plant-breeding projects I plan to start involve tree fruits, I’ll need that to use as a shortcut.

It’s going to be very pretty in the spring when they flower :)
