It's only a matter of time before these original criteria, "racist" and "Confederate" (funny, the Confederates seceded from the Union, and these insane weirdos want to divide America as well, but they damn anything connected to the Confederacy...) have some friend criteria. They will get to renaming or tearing down anything "too fat", "too Asian", "too Jewish", "too white (must have blue eyes for that one), etc. And it will never end, subdividing and subdividing until there is NO "United" States of America, but simply Africa left--a bunch of tribes perpetually at war with one another.

Those brain dead idiots who voluntarily and knowingly voted for Biden either did it because (1) they had a bad case of TDS brought on by ignorantly listening to enemedia hype and lies, (2) they just vote "D" (now "C" for "Communist") out of lazy habit, (3) they thought they were cool for voting for Kamala-Ho. The rest was left up to the many America-hating ignoramuses tossing ballots, running them multiple times through voting machines, changing ballots, importing Biden-marked ballots from who-knows-where, using Dominion tampered voting machines, forbidding evidence to be brought forth, illegally changing voting laws, etc., bringing this abject idiocy to us all. And thus neutering our military.

Hey, maybe this will bring us victory against our enemies by causing them to LAUGH to death.

Maybe not.

Soon, Russian & Chinese soldiers will more embody traditional American values than our own. Sad but true.

There are only two active navy ships that have names that are even remotely connected to the Confederacy.

The USNS Maury and USS Chancellorsville and the later is named for a battle, just like the rest of the Mark-41 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers.

I suppose that they want to scrap the ships named to honor Indian tribes, because that is “WASIS” for “reasons.”

At least the Chinese won’t allow that after Biden surrenders to them.

I just hope I go to the Old White guy wing of the camp, and not the “soldier with nail polish” side.

Me too.

My Father risked his Life in WWII and this is how the Country he defended is ending?

Even Rod Serling would have had difficulty coming up with this Storyline.

Yeah the name of a ship can be more dangerous to life and limb than an enemy with a weapon...

BTW whatever happened to “Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me ???

The modern Navy, which as best strains at a gnat while it swallows a camel, as liberal Scribes and Pharisees being intent on finding the most innocuous possible reference to racist or simply non-PC language, while sanctioning not simply profanity but forbidding open expression of Christian faith and hosting homosexual unions. A Navy at war in an unwinnable war with the Almighty.

Any Navy with a ship named after John McCain ought to have every one of its vessels scuttled over the Marianas Trench.

Well, the Battle of Chancellorsville was a Confederate victory, so I guess some people have a problem with that ship name.

The other ship mentioned in the article was the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, who was a segregationist. I have to say, I don’t understand how he got a carrier named after him. Since the 1970s they named carriers after Presidents or Navy heroes. Stennis was neither of those.

One of those superstitions is renaming a boat.

Historically it’s been considered bad luck to change the name of a boat. However, if you absolutely must change the name of a boat, a purging and renaming ceremony must be completed before the name is revealed or anything with the new name enters the boat.

When this navy is done with crazy, the superstition will be secure for generations.

Start with USS McCain. I remember the Dems & media portraying him as a racist when he was running for President.
