Law enforcement veterans say the Capitol siege was just the tip of the iceberg of the 'cult-like' threat far-right extremists pose to the US

**SNIP**

Frank Montoya, Jr., a recently retired FBI special agent, told Insider that the Capitiol siege indicates far-right extremism is a "fundamental" threat to national security, even more so than foreign terror groups. Indeed, many of these extremists are white, male US citizens, some with backgrounds in the military, and are less likely to be profiled as a terror threat than those of Middle Eastern descent in the post-9/11 era.

"The threat we're facing right now is not only real but deeply embedded - and cult-like - in our society," Montoya said. "Look at how many military and law enforcement types were involved in the Capitol assault and how many people in Congress supported the effort to overturn a free and fair election on January 6."

If the attack had come from ISIS or Al-Qaeda, "there would be blue-ribbon commissions, legislation, billions of dollars and thousands of employees from across the government thrown at the problem," he added. "The First Amendment and civil liberties are paramount, but far-right extremism isn't about that. It's about insurrection."

The Department of Homeland Security issued an advisory this week warning of a "heightened threat environment across the United States which DHS believes will persist in the weeks following the successful Presidential Inauguration."

"Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence," the advisory said, adding that the DHS expects these threats to persist through early 2021.

The FBI soon to be dismantled as the CIA already has been.

Where was the FBI and congress when the real insurrection happened last summer when the violent left climbed a fence and tried to get to the WHITE HOUSE. They tried to burn down a church and assaulted capitol police. It was so dangerous the had to put a fence around the WH grounds so they couldn’t breach it. When Trump tried to call out the National Guard to regain order both sides of the aisle trashed him. This should be his first line of defense in my opinion

maybe DHS should look into Black Lies Matter, Antifa, and other left-wing cults that have been terrorizing entire cities for years.

I remember years ago when the FBI said it couldn’t track down the Earth Liberation Front, even though the ELF had a huge website that included instruction on making bombs. I guess they never thought to see who ran the website, and then do from there.

"So says History BEFORE the internet and the ability to get messages across far and wide."

On the subject of "Moral" guardrails... The left are like dogs, dogs have no morals, and nether does the left.. The ONLY thing the left will heel to, like dogs, is pain. Or, perhaps free stuff...

"The bad news for Marxists and RINOs is that congress is split. The US Senate is 50/50; the VP is the D's only edge."

I fear the "Split" is far worse then we can ever imagine.. A good percentage of those "rebublicans" who call themselves conservative will feel embolden by the power of the left and show themselves for who they really are.. And they sure ain't friends of ours. I think their going get absolutely ridiculous with the stuff coming out of DC..

I do believe they WANT a civil war.. Their army, for the most part, is already here. It includes those all folks that have and are streaming up from South America. And all those who would take allegiance with BLM and ANTIFA.. And China.! China will transport 10's of thousands of mercenaries through our southern border..

We can all wonder how all of this could possible happen while we have such a wonderful military.. Well, how can we be sure they will be on our side.? At this point time, I'm beginning to wonder... :(

Liz, that was good info in n #64.. Thanks for that...

“Free & fair election”...
Guess the old boy has not been paying attention.
The real enemy is the biased media and those who own and control them.
They are so powerful even identifying them can get you thrown offline.
Even here...

No. The children were innocent victims, but there is little proof the FBI started the fire. Koresh was a nut.

#30. I think that was possibly the only Confederate flag seen in photos from the demonstration. I think one photo was showing that same person outside before he went in. Now the question is, did he do any damage or commit acts of violent? If not, while I disagree with the use of the Confederate flag in this demonstration, if he did it peacefully, it was his first amendment right to do so.

Good post. To partly answer your first question, the FBI became subject to the same affirmative action quotas as other federal agencies in the 1980s: The director of the FBI announced Tuesday that he had ordered sweeping changes in the bureau`s affirmative action program in the wake of findings that the bureau had discriminated against black and Hispanic employees. The announcement came in congressional testimony by the director, William S. Sessions, who reported that an internal investigation had uncovered serious deficiencies in the operation of the bureau`s Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Affairs.. . .The director said he had also ordered that black and Hispanic agents be placed on the bureau`s internal promotion boards, that FBI employees receive more extensive racial sensitivity training and that the budget for the equal employment office be increased substantially.: FBI TO EXPAND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAM, DIRECTOR SAYS (03/01/1989)

Previous thread on Montoya from December 2017: Frank Montoya Jr. told Business Insider that the intelligence community is frustrated the president does not rail against Russia to the same degree he shares his criticism of the Justice Department and intelligence agencies. "There is a lot of anger in the FBI (the entire intelligence community, for that matter) over how this president will say nary a negative word about the Russians, but will insult us every chance he gets," Montoya said.: Ex-FBI agent hits Trump for criticism of intelligence community

Did you personally know Koresh? After what the ABC network agencies attempted to do to Donald J. Trump, they have absolutely less credibility than a man called Koresh...

The FBI protects Epstein and his billionaire pals.

The fbi could care two shts about allegation of Koresh as a pedo. It is circling waggons with the pedos against the Americans as we speak.

They were worried about something else, probably a ritual they could not control or blackmail like Kwanza or Epstein.

Recently retires? Does this mean the FBI is finally cleaning out the gullible commies among them? We can dream...
