"... Progressives, conservatives, and libertarians alike must stand firm against the latest push to infringe on civil liberties in the name of combating “domestic terror.” Otherwise, sweeping powers granted amid crisis will undoubtedly be used against millions of Americans who did nothing wrong on January 6."

Interesting Tulsi Gabbard is warning against overreach of FedGov to go after “domestic terrorists”, but someone like Romney is mum. You can bet where he stands.

Romney is way farther to the left than Gabbard.

She doesn’t much like what she would have to become to have much of a future in the super-woke Rat branch of the Uniparty.

Romney is mum. Romney is a piece of human debris. The one good thing Obama did for America is defeat Romney in 2012.

I am glad to see that there is one democrat in the whole USA who is speaking out about the dangers of the Left.

Tulsi Gabbard is beginning to emerge as the champion of American values that the entire rest of the Democrat party will not embrace. I kind of liked her back early in the debates when she tore into Chameleon Harris for the seemingly contradictory positions that the Oakland Oracle appeared to be supporting.

Where are the Republican representatives? If Gabbard’s warning is true - then where are all the Republicans on this issue? Why do they not gather as one great voice to warn the American citizens of this danger?

I would love to see Tulsi and Trump team up. I think if they could actually sit down and talk to each other, they may find they could work well together.

then where are all the Republicans on this issue? If you have to ask that question, then it is best to just go back to sleep. The ride to the internment camp will go much faster. /s

Not asleep, just curious: “Why do they (Republican representatives) not gather as one great voice to warn the American citizens of this danger?”

Because they're really the Uniparty. George Washington warned of this multi-party system. It only serves to divide us in our fight against the true enemy of mankind: Big Centralized Governments.
Next to abortion, and Islam, governments and the wars they've started are third in numbers of people they've murdered.
To: amorphous
Uniparty - yes!
For decades, some folks on FR have said the two-party system is “the same bird, different wings.” It has taken awhile, but now many are seeing the “bird” for what it is; tweet-tweet.

She sounds more like a conservative than most conservatives.
If there was ever a democrat that I’d vote for she’s be the one.

“Why do they (Republican representatives) not gather as one great voice to warn the American citizens of this danger?” Because many of them have long been compromised and not much better than the Democrats they pretend to stand against. Think about this, how can people making roughly $175k/year, in one of the most expensive areas of the U.S. while maintain a home in their voting district, become unusually wealthy?
Trump was a threat to them and their status quo. That status quo allowed money to flow into them through numerous channels: family members running companies that received government grants or gained foreign contracts, able to use money gained from election fundraising to pay a spouse or relative to "manage" their campaign funds, etc.
With Trump gone, they get to go back to the gravy train with a wink and a nod between themselves, and the occasional 'hearing' which acts as a kabuki theater for their constituents.
