My brother’s dog once “caught” a skunk.

The skunk sprayed the dog in the face. Quite a shock to the dog, and my brother couldn’t get the stink out for a week.

The trick to getting rid of the stink is to lather the dog with toothpaste. Rub it in, wait a little, and then rinse it off. Amazing how well toothpaste works.

Wife let our greyhound out in the backyard. There was a skunk there. In a blink of an eye the skunk was in Ginger’s mouth getting a death shake. (Besides being fast, greyhounds are quick). Skunk sprayed for all it was worth, but because it was sideways in Ginger’s mouth, she emerged from the battle unscented. Found the skunk dead by my front door the next morning.
