is like we’ll go back to normal tomorrow. What changed? Oh right? They crashed the market and let the hedge funds get out. Now suddenly there are no issues with it
except the short float is STILL 120%+... the Reddits are holding their shares not selling so there aren’t enough shares to cover all the contracts due tomorrow.
This will impact more than just the Hedge Funds. The brokers and/or clearinghouses are going to have to default on their option contracts. Every contract that doesn’t cover with shares is going to result in a lawsuit for breach.
The hedgies are only the first level.
