Howard Leibengood is the Capitol Police officer who committed suicide three days after the shooting. I did some searching and found this profile picture of him from his wedding in 2017.

I cropped his head and flipped it to match the facing of the shooter. I also drew a mask onto his face for comparison. Imagine a shorter-cropped hair in 2021 than he had for his wedding. He does have a "widow's peak" hairline, as the shooter appears to also have.

Leibengood was the son of a former Sergeant At Arms of the Senate (1981-1983), so he was legacy Capitol Police. If he was the shooter (and I'm not saying he is), this probably weighed so heavily on him that he couldn't live with the guilt and family disgrace.

Interesting.

There was some concern that policeman did not commit suicide but was “Arkancided”.

I just don’t understand why, even in a worst case situation (shooter was bigoted, shooter dies mysteriously), the name of the shooter can’t be released.

It’s been three weeks.
