Some Kind of Heaven - Official Trailer
16,781 views•Dec 22, 2020
America’s seniors have discovered the fountain of youth. It’s in The Villages, FL. With #SomeKindOfHeaven, first-time feature director Lance Oppenheim cracks the manicured facade of The Villages, America’s largest retirement community – a massive, self-contained utopia located in Central Florida. Behind the gates of this palm tree-lined fantasyland, SOME KIND OF HEAVEN invests in the dreams and desires of a small group of Villages residents – and one interloper – who are unable to find happiness within the community’s pre-packaged paradise. With strikingly composed cinematography, this candy-coloured documentary offers a tender and surreal look at the never-ending quest for finding meaning and love in life’s final act.

Certainly can't afford that but thanks for the advice........
I have a friend who lives in one in Texas. She is so happy there. 10 years so far
I remember my mother - years ago - smiling at an old lady (with her walker beside her bar stool) flirting with men at the bar... Mom said, "only in Florida"...and that was decades before 'the Villages'...
Surprised that I haven’t seen a Helen Thomas photo on this thread
We are going for several weeks in March with 2 other couples. Rented a beautiful 3 bedroom house on golf course. Came to $550 per couple per week. The Villages has a wide range of options from older double wides to executive homes and now they’ve added a hotel on the lake. It is a fun place.
Surprisingly, a fast growing demographic for std’s...
Captain Obvious to the courtesy phone please. And who cares if she is spreading uh... happiness.
I am a senior freeper and a resident of The Villages. STD rumours are false (I think). Lots of drinkers here with a golfing addiction!
Actually... my son and I were taking a train vacation once, and sat down with a woman at dinner. She told us that she spent her professional life in Florida. She was in the process of moving to Michigan after retiring.
It was definitely one of those "You're doing it wrong" moments.
The Villages is anything but cheap.
Much better for you than being a golfer with a drinking problem!
