She wanted the military to do what McArthur, Eisenhower, and Patton did to the bonus army. Well, maybe gunning them down with squad automatic weapons is worse than running them down with cavalry and then burning down their encampment.
It should have been rejected on the grounds that she’s not in the chain of command.
