I watched a vid yesterday about dos & don'ts in the WH.
Apparently windows are not allowed to be opened at any time, anywhere, even upstairs. I'll try to find the video tomorrow because I thought that there was a full sheet of plexiglass covering the entire window from the inside. Thus it cannot be moved... (unless it's a stage set).

For security reasons, that's probably true. Can't have people just getting into the White House via the windows like it's Buckingham Palace!

There is not a full sheet of Plexiglas covering each window, but of tempered bullet proof glass. So no, the windows are not opened.
Many of us are leaning to the theory that it is not the Oval Office but a replication in which they neglected the details of the windows and red button.
