Actress Tanya Roberts, who starred in the TV sitcom That '70s Show and the 1985 James Bond movie A View to Kill, has died at age 65 from a urinary tract infection (UTI) that spread to other parts of her body.
The sad news came after a bizarre turn of events. TMZ initially reported, via Roberts' publicist Mike Pingel, that the star collapsed at home on Christmas Eve after walking her dogs. She was then taken to the hospital and put on a ventilator, according to the news outlet, but never recovered and died on Sunday (January 3). Roberts' husband of 18 years, Lance O'Brien, told the outlet he was unable to visit her in the hospital because of COVID-19 restrictions, but hospital staff made an exception when they realized the actress probably wouldn't survive. He believed Roberts died during his visit, and relayed the news to Pingel.
But on Tuesday, Pingel confirmed that Roberts actually died on Monday night. In a statement to Metro.co.uk, he said, "With a heavy heart I can confirm the death of Tanya Roberts (age 65) last night on January 4, 2021 around 9:30pm PT at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA."
The rep also confirmed that Roberts' cause of death was "a urinary tract infection which spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver and then bloodstream."

Tanya Roberts was 65 years old when she died...I don't think somebody who is 65 years old is "very old"...But, she was still old...
In many cases UTIs are symptom less in older women. The UTI becomes a kidney infection, which also can be symptom less. It can then spread throughout the body by the bloodstream, which can easily become fatal.
And yes, you can legally spread ashes on public lands with a permit. We did just that for my mother at a National Park in CA.
Whew. Thank you for getting it. My faith in FReepanity has been restored.
Sepsis works fast.
d-mannose
It’s a non-metabolizing sugar that gobbles up all the bacteria when it gets to the bladder. Completely natural. Can’t hurt you, just helps. You can increase dosage as needed, slack off when you feel better.
It also helps to watch the metabolizing sugar in your diet. That feeds the bacteria if it’s still in the bladder, which is what happens when you can’t metabolize all of it.
I’m not a medical professional, I just have used this and it worked.
That’s what I told the kids to do with my ashes.
I don’t want obituaries or memorials and I sure as heck don’t want people dragging my ashes all over the place in one of those creepy urn things.
Like the girl says in True Grit “The spirit has flown”.
I want my loved ones to move on quickly and live life to the fullest and be happy.
It spread.
I agree normally treatment will contain it and even cure it.
A UTI can kill an elderly person through a cascade of events just as easily as any number of things.
And despite what is said of doctors, there are a few very vindictive ones. A few are even murderers.
Hahahaha knew I’d see that one...
I think older people might be more susceptible to it because they don’t feel pain as much in their internal organs like younger people do. That makes worsening UTI or appendicitis more difficult to detect.
Maybe the EPA Special Agents will try to question them...Clean Water Act?
I have seen ads for scattering ashes out in Pacific Ocean...
By the way, is legal to scatter ashes like that? In public land?

depends if she’s a democrat or repub.
That muffled sound you hear is Joan Rivers yelling, “Amen, bro!”, from the grave.
Some people don’t respond to Macrodantin. Or she waited too long or both. It’s sad that her devoted husband passed away of encephalitis in ‘06, another bug you don’t hear of killing many people.
I see someone else mentioned it too.
And some people said cranberry juice. Good too, but don’t use any with sugar in it. I think d-mannose is better.
“D-Mannose”
You forgot to add “and D-Womannose”. LOL
Pain is a motivator to seek medical attention.
This is similar to something I've been thinking about for a few years. I like to travel and camp, hike, motorcycle tour... I think when I kick the bucket I'm going to be cremated and have my kids each take a portion of my ashes. My request will be that if they're ever going someplace cool they take a little pinch of me along and spread me there. Maybe it's someplace I've been, maybe someplace new. Just a "Dad would've liked this hike." or "Dad would've appreciated this view..." That kind of thing.
What? I thought this was all a hoax from a few weeks ago, that she was still alive. Damn RIP
