My little 9 year old granddaughter is homeschooled. She is unbelievably smart. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of getting to spend an afternoon with her while my son and DIL did some business with new property they're buying.

We spent the time building a bird house together. I provided some paint and she proved to be quite artistic.

Then the subject matter somehow turned to guns and she was fascinated with my gun collection.

The next day her mom sent me this meme even though we didn't actually shoot anything.

The nice thing about your bird house day with your granddaughter is that she’ll cherish it as much as you.

I played Monopoly with my older two grands yesterday. I cleaned their clocks. I don’t mind doing that, because they’re both smart as whips and they beat me regularly and enjoy it thoroughly. So yesterday was The Revenge of Nanna.
