“What we should do is hold a huge “Laugh In.” Just enormous crowds of people standing in the streets, laughing their heads off. Sounds like fun, actually.”

You know what I really liked?! When the Yellow Vest movement started in Europe, before agitators joined, people would gather in large public plazas in Europe that were adjacent to government buildings. They would stand stock still, silent, and simply face those buildings. No chants, no movement, no arm waving, just stare at the buildings like a father giving his child “the look”.

I thought the optics were quite powerful.

There is something called "Belly Laugh Therapy." It feels really stupid at first, but once you start thinking about how silly you must look doing it, you start laughing even more, and then the laughter just builds until you are laughing so hard you are literally about to wet your pants. It breaks up stressful energy held in the body and you feel better afterwards. It's why comedy movies, where you are laughing together with a crowd of anonymous people in a dark theater, are so popular. (Or used to be, when we were allowed to gather.) Laughter really is the best medicine, and if you can laugh in the face of pure evil, all the better.

Just think of how freeing and beautiful a huge crowd of belly-laughers would feel after a year of this COVID nonsense! I say we just laugh in their faces. Laugh until tears are streaming and everyone is doubled over, holding their sides. Laugh and watch them shrink.
