In 2020 China had record breaking rain that damaged the structure of the damn causing it to bend/bow. The damn’s operator said the damn was still structurally sound despite the record rains. So bombing it may not be necessary, there may be other ways for the damn to collapse that would reflect on the shoddy Chinese engineering.
