If you have a smart phone you need to watch this. A very good discussion on how big tech and the government spies on you and tracks your movements with your own smart phone.

I don’t do social media on my phone, don’t do e-comm on my phone. Maybe you’re right. Shitseems to be getting crazy.
Why not tell them the Plan of Salvation while you are on the phone. I do that when I hear strange noises on my line.
Bkmk.

Go back to the not so distant future with our landlines and answering machines. The world was a much happier place.
Not so distant past :)
I matters not that you think you have nothing to hide.
The abuse General Flynn took and that President Trump is taking should convince you that if they don’t like you they will take information from your activities and weave it into lies in order to get you.
Check what Microsoft helped the Chinese develope....tracking citizens and giving them a desirability rating similar to your credit rating,,,and restricts their travel accordingly,
Might even effect your medical care...”Eats hamburgers and french fries too often. Does not exercise enough. Reads unapproved books and news papers, church twice a week...”
Do we really want that?
Watch the movie Snowden. He should be pardoned.
5 years ago, I would have considered Snowden a traitor.
Now, I agree he should be pardoned.
Agreed
Really want to minimize Google monitoring. Anyone have experience using GrapheneOS as a daily use phone? What’s the drop off in usable and/or useful apps?
If you can root your phone, I recommend Lineage. It is AndroidOS without the spyware and bloat.
Not as easy as it used to be (when we could use SuperSU).
I’ve read that GrapheneOS is the most hardened.
I’m looking for unlocked Pixel 4a’s but I want to make sure it will work on ATT.
GrapheneOS website recommneds getting an unlocked phone that’s not tied to any carrier. Just wondering how I confirm this before purchase.
Minor correction to the Verizon.. I said data is capped, I meant to say that Hotspot is capped @ 5Mb/s, data is NOT capped. Also, if you are using Android, you can only connect 1 device to your hotspot, it can be bypassed, but if you do bypass it, be cautious so that you don’t get caught and lose the service.
Thanks for your help. I’ll look into.
Might just try a 3a to test things out before I fully jump in. I figure a phone with GraphleneOS + Faraday Cage bag I should be safe for a while.
