Rita; If that is the “Base” in Maine, A Maine Freeper indicated that it was a former logging operation and gravel pit. There are enough people in the immediate area that something like that, if true, would be noticed. That was about 1 1/2 months ago?

It was no logging thingy. A connected story, maybe a link, took me to a drawing. To my untrained eye, it looked like a sky scraper underground.
I shouldn’t post what I can’t recall with more detail. I thought the story too fantastic to catalogue at the time. Not so much now. Ha!
