I didn’t tell my family till five years ago. It’s hard to get it out of one’s mind.
Sorry to read about what happened. My wife has PTSD because of this (thanks father-in-law). The best advice I can give is to move on. You cannot change the past. You can only control your present and future. And break the chain. Trust in the Lord and Trump and those on their side.

A childhood friend of mine didn’t tell her mother ( or anyone) that her dad had molested her, until she was around 30 years old. I thought some male relative (her 2 brothers) or a friend ( like my own dad) would pay the perp a visit and give him A Chicago Tune Up. The jerk didn’t even see jail time. I also had a high school friend who told me her dad did the same to her. Very very sad situations.
