Pompeo in for the win?
By the grace of God that’s the best line of succession tailor made for this crisis.
In the future we would not need the continuing vacuous position as VP, at all.
I’ve been pondering exactly this thought.
POTUS Trump leaves goes to Florida. His term ends.
POTUS ad VPOTUS Elect walk up to take their oaths and are placed in handcuffs first.
SOS steps up from behind them and is administered the oath as they are whisked away.
Then we either can have
1) Pompeo serves til next election
2) Trump rerunning in 2024 or Pompeo stays for a second term OR
3)Pompeo appts Trump VP (with congressional approval of those who remain unattested) and then steps down. Trump then appoints Pompeo VP
All per Constitution.
