Lady Gaga has been picked to sing the national anthem at President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to a report Thursday.

The New York-born superstar — who campaigned for Biden during the election — has been confirmed to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the swearing-in ceremony next Wednesday, the inaugural committee told Variety.

Fellow New Yorker Jennifer Lopez is another star name involved, although details of her performance were not revealed.

The Left is already moving to replace our national anthem. James Clyburn wants to replace it with Black Anthem, whatever the hell that is. This story was circulating on FR a few days ago.

I fully expect that to happen. It can be done with a simple majority in Congress and they have the votes. I would expect some virtue signaling GOPers to join them.

She’s a great singer, well-trained. She’s also a great capitalist, in practice, so this is just adds to her success. Good for her. I;m an older guy, but my daughters and I listen to her music together and it’s much better than a lot of what’s being called music these days.

Will it draw anyone to watch the inauguration? Possibly enough to raise the numbers watching online for the couple of minutes she sings.
