“The stock holders care in a big way.”
Boy, I would love to be a fly on the wall when the large stockholders (Goldman, JP Morgan, Chase, etc.) start calling. Not to mention the millions of small investors.
And if Zuckerberg and Dorsey proceeded on this without Board of Directors approval, I’d guess Mark and Jack have some real problems. The Boards have a fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders and they don’t want to hear from the shareholders (and their lawyers).
It’s going to be interesting, indeed.
We need a comprehensive database of information. Included with it would be these categories: Chinese owned American based companies and corporations, imported Chinese brands and the outlets that sell them, shell corporations owned by China, Billionaires and CEO’s that support the fascist takeover. Add to that a constantly updated list of officials and politicians that are handmaidens to this tyranny.
Once we can all share that data, the Great and Permanent Boycott will begin. De-fund the Left. Let them eat fish heads.
When you start a revolution without moral principles you never know how it will end. The racketeering and breach of contract of the tech oligarchs could have consequences that neither they, or we, could have foreseen.
Bingo. People seem to think these companies are about the CEO and that is not the case. They are Public companies and the Boards have a huge problem ahead.
Bottom line, they ain't gonna try to woo us back.
You are wise.
The world has over 7 billion people. Losing 70 million people is a drop in the bucket.
I have replaced Google with DuckDuckGo, Firefox with Bravo, (I’ve never joined facebook), Twitter now not needed with Gab and the soon to re-spawn Parler. So what you are saying is happening. For me, Bravo replaced Firefox in about 10 minutes flat, (and I’m 79, no computer whiz kid). People are flocking to the competition, look at the astonishing numbers. What will be fun to watch are even more challenging competitors. Playing with new things is fun.
They might not care but the stockholders do.
“They dont care. They’re so wealthy that it does not impact them even if their stocks lose half of the value in the stock market...”
That’s what Khaddafi - estimated wealth of $200 billion - thought. He ended up with his gold-plated glock shoved up his bunghole. And Khaddafi had hired an entire mercenary army to protect him.
1. I am in the process of doing a full replacement of all the computer/IT equipment for my office. When I scoped out the project last year, one of the things I decided was that I would migrate back from a cloud-based server to a local network. I simply didn’t trust anyone outside my company to host my files anymore, and the events of last week with all these tech companies colluding to destroy their own customers reinforces this distrust.
2. I bought a new mobile phone. It’s a flip phone that might have been considered state-of-the art in 2002. Think of how ridiculous that is.
3. After American Express announced that they were terminating their political contributions to Republican members of Congress who dared to formally object to the certification of the electoral vote last week, I canceled my company Amex card today. From this point forward I will be paying most of my business expenses with cash or business checks. Any vendor who has a problem with that will be dropped in short order. I really just don’t give a flaming sh!t anymore.
70 million people who are not poor AND spend MONEY.
DONT patronize these leftist sites or you are supporting communism.
Here is a question. By their constant assistance to Anti-Fa and BLM in their criminal activity including murder, are these Tech Companies not guilty of being accessory’s. Since the perps used them to coordinate the activities of the rioters are they not actually participants in the crime. We’re the crimes not coordinated over a number of states? Put these criminals in jail.
The next four years are going to be interesting.
Who is really setting the agenda?
It is fun and glad to see you so enthusiastic with the changes. We have already in the last 10 months seen an historical inflection point with work-at-home and abandonment of public schools and such. Big Tech may have bought us another one with their perfidy.
A few wealthy guys can easily set up server farms outside of the US and go after big-tech in a big way. As I see it big-tech are in a huge mess with no way out. You really think Trump once out of office will not go after these companies—he and his wealthy friends? Keep your eyes open because it's gonna be a fun ride to be on.
I requested these companies be taken OUT of my investments and replaced immediately did that on Friday the company that has my account said it might take a little while they were FLOODED with calls to do the same!!! I am afraid that people have become so addicted to these sites that it will take an act of God to get them off!! I was completely addicted to Amazon spent THOUSANDS there BUT closed the account my country is far more important than a damn shopping site!!! I WILL NEVER spend another nickel there NO WAY!!!
Well, I am going to start buying music directly from the artist.
Screw Amazon music service.
Amazon and Google have embedded themselves into everyday life so it will be difficult to get away from them until the competitors arrive and they will arrive.
