I have occasionally used Amazon to search for products. When I find a product, I then search for the vendor. I buy directly from them and it’s always the same price or less. That way the business gets the money, instead of sharing with Amazon.

Thanks for that comment. It shouldn’t be too hard to minimize/eliminate Amazon...had Prime last year for faster/cheaper delivery of vitamins and such, but I’ve cancelled it.

I have my own small business and necessarily sell SOME items on Amazon. I wish more of my buyers would do exactly this. Find the product on Amazon; click on the seller name to find out who they are; contact them directly and ask if you can buy direct at the Amazon price. As you state, for some of my products I can sell below the Amazon price, as I'm not having to pay them their vig.

There is (was?) an app that would give you alternative vendors with lower prices for Amazon purchases. I think it took shipping into consideration too. I have to find it and check it out further.
