I also refused to vote for McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012. So you’re right, the temptation really is strong for me to say, say “I told you so”

But the real theme of my posts is to urge Freepers not to be Republican sheeple. Think independently. - conservatively,?but independently. Don’t even be an automatic defender of Trump. He’s great, yes,?but he makes somecbigvmistakes too. Encouraging that rally was a mistake and it may turn out to be a historic mistake,?the way the totalitarian response is going.

Well, I lived and voted in Arizona for decades and never voted for McCain once because he was a backstabber to his own party. But you don't hear me bragging about it.

Trump is the first president in my seven plus decades who I could trust. Is he human? Of course. Does he make mistakes. I'm sure he does. But he's not a phony like all of the other Republicans presidents have been.

History will look positively and fondly on President Trump. You can't name me one other person, not even one, who could have done what he's done with the evil forces of the country and world arrayed against him and still been able to accomplish what he did. He is unique.

If you're looking for perfection in a president or person, you won't find it. If you are looking for bold, exceptionalism, Trump is the only one I know who is like that. I trusted him and still do. But no one else. I don't abandon him because he makes mistakes. Because he's the best we've ever had and the best we'll ever find.
