I’m suspending indefinitely my use of Twitter, Facebook and other social media. I’m doing so not to make a political statement, but in the hope that America can return to kitchen tables, churches, taverns, coffee shops, dance halls (it’s a Texas thing)—whatever it takes to look others in the eye and rebuild our communities and humanity.
As a husband and father, I also want to stop spending so much time looking at a screen and reacting in ways that are inconsistent with who I am and—most important—who I strive to be as a Christian.
While social media has proved a useful vehicle for sharing information quickly, I have concluded that it does more harm than good to individuals and society alike.

The truth will come out. It is going to suck for those who have been peddling the lies (or have been taken in by them), because the wanton killing of other human beings is not something God looks favorably upon.

Honestly, I really couldn’t care less if there is no one left on FR that can tolerate an dissenting opinion (but I guess there are still a few left.)

I am a conservative, but that doesn’t mean I have to march lockstep with everyone here. I don’t like Trump, never have. But I was willing to give him a chance. But he has blown it bigly, in my opinion. As for Giuliani, I think he is lying. If you don’t, fine. Time will tell. The NY Bar is starting an investigation to disbar him. I think that’s just the beginning of his troubles.
If you can’t tolerate dissenting opinion maybe DU would be more to your liking?
Trump may be a SOB but hes our SOB. All of this was inevitable. Trump may just be accelerating all of it.
