The California woman dubbed “Soho Karen” for falsely accusing a black teen of stealing her iPhone and allegedly attacking him at a Big Apple hotel says she can’t be racist because she’s a “woman of color.”

Miya Ponsetto, 22, made the remarks during a previously filmed interview with “CBS This Morning” anchor Gayle King that was teased on Twitter Monday.

New York City sent detectives across the country after her. As if there was nothing more important to do in NYC.

It’s clear that despite her being a “woman of color” that she is a blithering idiot.

The issue here is that she is not alone in this line of thinking. The late Stuart Scott from ESPN tweeted the same thing

True Racism is group w majority/economic/political power discriminating against others..
Blacks/Hispanics can be ANGRY/RUDE but not “Racist” - Stuart Scott.

Consider me surprised Gayle King stated people of color could be racist, although if those that use the term people of color are honest, they are not talking about people like myself, who happens to be of Mexican origin, when referring to people of color.

Having gone to diversity training, the common thread is that the only people who can be racist are white people. Their definition of “racism” is strictly color based and built upon the assumption that you can classify people by their skin color and once classified you can assign racial privilege based upon if some of that class had economic control over people in other classes.

The problem is that to some, “racism” is a defined term, much different than the dictionary definition. When you get into a discussion with those people about racism you are talking about two much different things. To “those with a race based definition of racism,” no matter how racial discriminatory people of color are, by definition they can not be racist.

When you allow others to define the narrative and words, they will always game the system.

Crayon used to have a color called flesh.

Yeah. I thought that odd too, noting that it wasn’t the color of my skin. I shrugged, used a crayon that matched my intent more closely, and moved on.
