I’ve only spent one day in my life walking around Washington. It was fascinating. This was in must have been 2018. I could hear the theme music from House of Cards the whole time in the air.

My Pops took the family to DC for sightseeing (I think) when he we lived in Hampton, Virginia for one year while Pops worked on the lunar landing module (that went to the moon).

I remember going underground in the Capitol and eating lunch at a cafeteria. I believe we rode the underground subway thingy. Or at least saw it, can't remember.

I believe that was back when DC was occupied by Americans for the most part. I thought it was pretty cool. But I was just a kid.

“Pops worked on the lunar landing module (that went to the moon).”

Several business trips to DC in the 90s for Board of Directors meeting for a National Trade Association.

Several business trips to DC from 2005-2020 for conference related to my participation on the Board of Directors for my local Health Center.

The theme music I heard was Star Spangled Banner, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and This is My Country. Several times the conference was held at the very same Hotel where Reagan was shot-Walked by the exact spot numerous times on the way to eat lunch and supper.
