How to encrypt you communications

To those that are interested in keeping their communications private, and out of Google's hands, you can sign up for free, encrypted email. Also, there is a basic free vpn service offered through this provider. I've had nothing but luck with the ease of using this service, and highly recommend it.

If the deep state wants to monitor your email and other communications, you might as well make them work for it. We aren't important enough for them to take interest, but Google makes a fortune off of selling everything they can learn about you. Using Tor (firefox browser, connected by it's own anonymous web servers) and piping it through a vpn ought to keep them busy trying to decipher everything. Everybody should be encrypting everything digital they have, and their digital communications.

THere are also proton mail and vpn apps for cellphones, as well.

Don’t use any Firefox (Mozilla) products. They exposed themselves to be the enemy. Use Brave browser and ProtonMail.

Would love to drop gmail - but it would take me a month to find and update all the areas where my email is used.
I guess that I would have to run 2 email accounts for a while to make sure I didn’t miss anything important that I take for granted.

“Um....Yes you can. I access it from Brave browser all the time.”

My mistake, then. I thought that to do true end to end encryption including server and user side they had a prorietary encryption employed.

Maybe I confused them with another provider. Apologies to all.

Good info here for the more technical folks.

For those who are adventurous check out this site:

https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

It’s basically like building your own ad blocker.

I midified my hosts file using the instrctions here about 6 years ago, and periodically update to their new blacklist. All in all it kills 90% of ads.

Of course, there are some url variations for ad-sense and others, but those are pretty easy to ferret out and add to the hosts file using web inspector.

If you want to see where all the ads are coming from, just go to dailymail.com and open web inspector. That site is probably the worst offender I’ve ever seen where ad placement and tracking is being employed.

Agree - will obtain another email account and run 2 of them until I get everything transferred - I was just noting the obvious so those who might not recognize the obvious didn’t jump the gun and screw themselves.
