I'm fed up with politics!! The whole kit-and-kaboodle!!
Here's why:
The Republican Party has become a nest of teetering, sodded, half-baked senior citizens that do not know what day it is, whether it is a 'meat loaf day', or a day to afford time with the masses who voted them into office. They had a grand moment, to truly change America, and all they did was vote for pay raises for themselves.
The Democratic Party, which at one time decried anything "socialist/communist" as against America, now fully7 and openly embrace the teachings of Marx, Lenin, Castro, and Khrushchev.
I switched and ditched the Libertarian Party because of a dimwit named "Gary". it was the too familiar "it is my turn now", when in fact, that man had his skull firmly implanted into his alimentary canal to where surgery would not help.
I've had enough. I will, never vote for any incumbent, always vote no on State propositions, and am decidedly not interested in any future candidates of any flavor.
I am taking a furlough from politics, until every last human in Congress over 50 years old, has gone to their dirt nap!!!
Delete every single platform you’re on and post about free republic before you go.
So you’re surrendering. Put your hands in the air and march.
Seriously!! come on — so you can’t get onto freaking Twitter. Who cares. You can do a lot of other things, like get your militia together and stock up on supplies for the rough period ahead.
After that, we’ll all reconvene for a REAL party!!!

I agree with some, In that we all need to take a break. I do think it’s a good idea to say to ourselves: “calm down”. Problem is, the left never calms down.
For my sanity, I fully intend to calm down at the moment. I need to for myself and my medical condition. That said I would never stop looking and participating here. You all are my people.

I’ve basically lost interest in politics too after this fiasco. After twenty years online visiting political websites, I wonder what exactly I’ve gained. Information, of course. But how has that improved my life?

Well, that is what he left wants so I guess you can say you’ve been defeated.
My advice is to take a break from following it so closely. when you come back, tune out all the negative voices from the left and focus on the good guys on the right like Trump and Rush.
We must fight on.
Me too, after 20 years of reading stuff, what have I gained? I’ve lost some peace of mind, and time I could have spent doing other things.
Dear sir, that sort of “’representation’ takes form with, Jack Ruby, Joe Friday, Mannix, and every 1950’s plainclothesmen!! Replete with those ‘wad whatchadingies’.
In fact, the story told to me by a former spook, was that in the early days of ‘the agency’, there was a competition to arm, between the Browning Hi-Power and the S and W J-frame. The J-frame won out. That’s good enough for me.
Is that new? I thought that was half the battle we have been fighting for the past 45 years (I picked '76/Reagan-Ford primary as the actual start of the fight.)
If you have been listening to Rush and surfing FR you have been a week to 30 days ahead of 99.9% of the idiots.
No one discusses any politics around me until they have all discussed it amongst themselves, THEN, when they are tired of obfuscating and arguing with each other on everything that they dont know about and they want to know what the truth is or what really happened, I will get a 1 on 1 that takes less than 5 minutes to explain the entire mess. That in itself has made it worth it for me.
