In order to be on the APP stores such as Apple, the site has to agree to their terms regarding certain rules. That’s why Gab refused to get on the APP stores, because they wanted free speech.

It's actually just the opposite...GAB did have apps on Google\Apple until the GAB apps got banned. They had a couple of good ones too. One of them - Dissenter - (I think it started out as an extension) they expanded and turned it into a browser.

Then GAB then got deplatformed from Google\Apple, so GAB decentralized.
