Run for office.
Get elected.
Immediately file to run again.
Increase the war chest.

File again.
Increase the war chest.
Need a new suit? Campaign expense.
Hungry? Expense French Laundry to campaign.
And on and on...
When you pull down the paycheck, that goes straight to investments (inside info...) or capital ventures with kick-backs...that go to your campaign funds.

Good grief, checked the headlines and..is this all for real? Like a nightmare.
Which is not necessarily always separate from the scams which return foreign aid dollars to politicians who decide the benficiaries.
Either that or you’re an honest Congressman and you room with four other people in a rented condo because you can’t afford a Georgetown townhome to stay in when you’re not back home gouging the rubes out of their hard earned pay.
