I have my retirement with fidelity....just retired....how do I just get “out”?

Move to cash or “fixed assets”. Most accounts allow you to invest your money as you choose.

Timing the market is usually a losing proposition. Go look at a historical chart going back 30-40 years of the DOW and the S+P 500.

The problem with getting out is you have to get back in.

After 45 years of investing I’ve learned it’s not about getting in and out. It’s about WHAT you are in. I’m in almost everything that isn’t high risk. It’s all about balance among all those things. I’ve been retired about 11 years.
