There are other options when it comes to the Pope besides arrest.
It depends on whether or not Trump wants to take down or save the Catholic Church, which I humbly submit may be more Melania’s call than his, since she is Catholic and he was raised Presbyterian.
If they want to save the Church and its reputation, they will force Francis and some of the cardinals out. Maybe they secretly arrest them. Maybe they cut a deal and disappear them to some island nation where they will live out their lives in some sort of “nice” prison— basically being free to come and go in a village but under an assumed identity while the world thinks they died of Covid or something.
But then perhaps Trump and or Melanie believe saving the Catholic Church requires exposing the corruption even if it results in the Church shrinking considerably in size as people leave and check out the Greek Orthodox church, the Lutherans, or something else.
The truth sets you free. I doubt many American Catholics hold the Pope in high regard.
“saving the Catholic Church requires exposing the corruption even if it results in the Church shrinking considerably in size”
I’m a Catholic. Confirmed and everything :-).
I will not return to that church unless everything *is* exposed. We deserve to know and make our minds up accordingly. We are not children. We do not need the truth hidden from us. Nothing will be repaired properly if we don’t know the extent of the rot.
Trump supports ridding institutionalized child and human trafficking wherever it is found. Period.
He demands Justice to the full Extent of the Law, both international law and domestic.
The Church leadership is antithetical to the Church itself. It’s been overtaken at the top, in Rome, and at every level in the West, in all globalist Conferences of Catholic Bishops, wherever they are,, and the entire leadership are proven to be Anti-Christ, Anti-Catholic, Anti-Papist, Anti-Tradition, Anti-Counciliar, openly Anti-Capitalism, Anti-American.
None of the above remotely compose the Catholic Church.
These wolves all together openly despise the faithful. All faithful Catholics know who is whom. Sides are taken, the lines are drawn and the faith is quite firm in whom God’s grace has made firm, pious, devout, obedient, knowledgeable and wise.
Still, we are sinners and repent daily and honor the narrow road in Hope of God and His heaven.
Trump has no interest or desire to interrupt that. That *is* the Church and nothing less. He has been generous toward the Catholic faithful. He despises the abberent leadership who deserve prison.
Trump was raised Presbyterian, he said sometime in the last year, I read or heard, that he is a non-sectarian Christian.
