This is the speech I'll be giving today from an undisclosed location.
I wrote a speech today.
I was planning to say I fear the chaos of establishing a precedent that Congress can overturn elections.
Boy, was I right.
Chaos. Anarchy. It’s wrong and un-American.
The vote we are about to cast is important.
Now more than ever.
The question is: Should Congress override the certified results from the states and nullify the states’ right to conduct elections?
The vote today is not a protest; the vote today is literally to overturn the election!
Voting to overturn state-certified elections would be the opposite of what states’ rights Republicans have always advocated for.
This would doom the electoral college forever.
It was never intended by our founders that Congress have the power to overturn state-certified elections.
My oath to the Constitution doesn’t allow me to disobey the law. I cannot vote to overturn the verdict of the states.
Such a vote would be to overturn everything held dear by those of us who support the rights of states in this great system of federalism bequeathed to us by our founders.
The electoral college was created to devolve the power of selecting presidential electors to the states.
The electoral college is, without question, an inseparable friend to those who believe that every American across our vast country deserves to be heard.
If Congress were given the power to overturn the states’ elections . . . what terrible chaos would ensue.
Imagine the furor against the electoral college if Congress becomes a forum to overturn states’ electoral college slates.
It is one thing to be angry. It is another to focus one’s anger in a constructive way. That hasn’t happened today, to say the least. We simply cannot destroy the Constitution, our laws, and the electoral college in the process.
I hope as the nation’s anger cools, we can channel that energy into essential electoral reforms in every state.
America is admired around the world for our free elections. We must, we absolutely must, fix this mess and restore confidence and integrity to our elections.

“We must restore confidence in elections by certifying a fraudulent election” is all I’m hearing.
He is essentially saying he has no choice unless the states fix it themselves.
Exactly. One thing that 2020 taught us is: it doesn’t matter if you are right, if your demands are justified, or if your entire worldview is downright delusional. If you get enough people mad enough and cause enough chaos, you win.
So now that the right has realized that’s how we need to win in this country, in this day and age, we can finally start playing the game to win.
The useless Republican political class can either follow along with us or get the hell out of the way.
I don’t think they can do that? The Dems in the House would vote that down.

No, he’s saying more than that. He’s saying that we should bend over and take a big stiff one up the you know what, because nobody in the government has the guts to do what is right.
I think he is trying to say Congress has a narrow role and should not overturn the certified electors sent by the states. It is down to them (legislatures).

Rand, you are a FOOL! In your zeal for the Constitution, you have destroyed it by handing power to those who despise it. Soon they will quite legally and pursuant to the Constitution pack the Courts, and the Constitution will at that point be just words on a piece of paper - they will otherwise be meaningless, because their Living Constitution judges and Justices will chip away at every single word until there’s nothing left. So will go what little is left of our Republic.
You LET them game the system. You let them play you and us. You operate by the Marquis de Queensbury Rules, they play to win. Guess who rules the society in that situation? Guess who writes the History books? All that you are is a well-meaning fool, and your foolishness combined with that of other Republicans unwilling to fight have doomed our society. Legal does NOT equal right - the Nazis very legally murdered millions, but that thin veneer of legality didn’t absolve them of the heinous moral crimes that they had committed.
Trump is the “One flew over the cuckcoo’s nest” President.
Why did they choose to do that, and create the chaos we are now seeing? Why didn't they just allow for the kind of post election audits that would have removed any question of who won the election?
I think you admiration of Rand Paul is misplaced.
The states decided when they certified their electors and sent them in.
There isn’t one state asking for a do over.
The behavior by the states is a disgrace but Rand and the other GOPers who share his opinion say it is for them to get their own house in order not for Members of Congress to overturn a slate of electors they have sent... they believe this is unconstitutional (For better or worse).
For what its worth I like the idea of delaying the process to see what if anything happens within the contested states but i’m not sure. They’re all GOP controlled and have sent Biden electors!

Do it over again. Period. No more machines. National guard supervising the presence of the election monitors.

That plan, although it would have been good in prior elections, is based on the legitimacy of the votes. I contend that if this fraud is allowed to stand, the perpetrators will have proven beyond any doubt that they can rig elections as they choose regardless of how people actually voted.
The rigging isn't speculation. The proof was put right out there.
Wrong, there are 4 states who sent Pence a letter trying to buy more time to investigate.
The Democrats did not destroy the Constitution by themselves, the GOP helped.
They could not have pulled off the Kenyanesian Usurpation or the Big Steal without the cooperation of the GOP.
the US Government is clearly a Racketeering organization. They all know about "fixing" elections and the art of deception.

Best path ahead for me will be prepping for survival under socialism, maybe register democrat to throw them off and then go Galt.
I am sure the elections will be "FIXED" pretty good and clever from here on out and guys like rand Paul want to be in the club.
They rigged the 2018 election in key states, too.
