The big one that I saw as on the Atlantic side of the Drake passage, but it probably is close enough to say ring of fire.

I think the suggestion wasthat the Solar Storm (I did not check to see this happened....)struck the earth and this caused electrical currents and heating in the outer mantle resulting in shifts in the crust. (I think.)

Nope. Didn’t happen. Very minor CME a couple days ago that is just now hitting earth with a glancing blow. Very minor impact just barely moving the geomagnetic storm indicator out of the “stable zone”.

The earth IS greatly affected by solar weather and is used to predict areas of possible (sometimes, likely) earthquakes.
