NEW: Iowa Sen. Charles E. Grassley, the Senate president pro tempore, says he and not Vice President Mike Pence will preside over the certification of Electoral College votes, since "we don't expect him to be there."

Jack Posobiec's take:A Grassley spokesman clarifies that the senator does not "have any indication Pence won't be present." Grassley, he said, was just trying to explain that at president pro tempore of the Senate, he would fill the chair if Pence does not show or steps out at points for a break https://t.co/iS8Wb7Yfpy

Grassley slipped up. Wasn’t supposed to say it yet. https://t.co/S2hK71W6YZ

If not, good psyop/disinformation to keep people off balance.
At this point Cruz’s 10 day period to allow the states to verify fraud and perfect their panel of electors might not be a bad idea which could avoid the need to disqualify electors. (If the state legislators would actually do this!)
This makes you wonder whether Pence:
1. ... might actually resign.
2. ... is delusional enough to think he can shirk this responsibility and still run in 2024.
3. ... will be involved in a national crisis ... 911-level ...
