Thank you nanette, that is the first thing which occurred to me. The other is that they are effectively 'dispersed' and harder therefore to arrest en masse.

#4732 I think they (gang of 8) told POTUS last night to stand down or they would invoke the 25th or remove him for attempted insurrection, tarnish his name and destroy his family.
Probably threw pence under the bus to do it.
