Whatever ideas are most frequently and loudly expressed around them, people will tend to adopt those ideas over time.

And this is why I go beyond the trees and get myself in trouble. Shill group-think cannot be allowed to be seen as the only opinion.

I keep forgetting that's a "thing" and am still shocked to think it can be that prevalent. But it certainly explains a lot!

I have thought that public opinion I observed these past few years is like a topiary and whomever is most consistent "gets" to shape it however they want.

The MSM is wall-to-wall and 24/7. They've had it easy - they didn't even have to match reality or make sense. They just had to be repititious. :/
