The law provides that a copy is sent to the Archives and to the President of the Senate, as I recall. A copy of the alternate electors should have been sent certified mail to Pence, with copy to Trump. I find it hard to believe they didn’t get a copy to Pence.

As Churchill said to Chamberlain: Mr. Pence—“you had a choice of dishonor or war. You chose dishonor, You will have war.”

I wish I knew. There would be backlash regardless of how and when he does it, but it has to be done. The timing is up to him Trump, and would be done in a way that he deems will best minimize unrest and violence.

If I had to guess, I'd say POTUS uses the EBS to make lay out the treason and announce arrests of participants, including members of Congress. Military would have to be deployed concurrently, to maintain order, and the worst offenders in the press would have to be reigned in one way or another. It would be dangerous and unacceptable for the traitors in the media to be allowed to continue fomenting violence and unrest while this is all going on.
