When did Australians decide to become spineless losers? They freak out because there are a handful of COVID cases being reported. Oh...I remember when they actually became spineless...it coincided with the disarmament of the people that occurred after a bunch of politicians took advantage of a mass murder about 20 years ago. If we lose our guns Americans will become spineless losers too.

I am not too knowledgeable about military matters but isn’t it true for almost all of America’s western allies they try to have a massive percentage of their force in logistics in peace team?
And the total deaths from everything are virtually the same as last year.

They have a standing force of trained soldiers, then a massive amount of logistics and desk polishers.
In the EU and other places they try and keep as wrong a force that they can afford to maintain an active resistance but they also have conscription to there is always a semi trained force that can help the standing force hold while new conscripts are mass trained to be cannon fodder and allow front lines to rotate R&R.
Australia has reserves, but I shall not go into the viability of them being at ready mode, Not like the US reserves.
They have tiny full-time specialist units, with regulars, but in no way have they the numbers to field a multi ingress assault on australian shores.

On a positive note, I went down to the park with my fiancee and her young son yesterday. Lots of parents and children there. No masks, no fear, no social distancing, lots of smiling happy people. Beautiful day.
