Does this video look like it was a happening on the east side of the Capitol, the side that, reportedly, did not have fences blocking the steps. There would have been far more videos like this if something had not been happening on the mall that day making the battery charge on phones go down extremely fast.

I wonder if the people on the east side even knew that a curfew had been established. This young man mentioned that it was ( maybe he meant ... would be... ). after dark.

I went to Google maps and put the little man on both sides (Supreme Court side which I think is east and the Washington Monument/Mall side which I think is west).

Looks to me like it’s the west (Washington Monument) side. I’m basing it on the way the steps he’s standing on appear to be curved, and the flat area behind him has a grate/drainage channel, which is on the west side. Plus the bit of stairs going towards the building that we can see appear to have various levels. There’s no curved steps on the east side that I can tell, and the steps going into the Capitol on the east are straight up.

Wish that scaffolding wasn’t there!
