Agreed, Free-dame. That was not the section of the Capitol where we were told to assemble prior; the designated spot was the grassy area between the Capitol and the Supreme Court Building. It appears most of the action took place on the opposite side of the Capitol at the corner of Constitution and First St.
In a normal situation, a person on their own would never think of crossing the barrier. However, it was not a normal situation that day and a mob mentality took over. It’s done and over now; rehashing it doesn’t change things.

I have been in that grassy area listening to speakers from a stage in the past. I don’t know whatever happened to those speakers. Maybe it just fizzled. Maybe they never got a permit. It’s too late to go back now.
