I guess I don’t get it . . .
“When” has there ever been a realistic need for tens of thousands of troops at our Nation’s Capital?

I could not believe it this morning that our Governor of Iowa will be sending 250 troops to support “the effort”!

I know it sounds like a small number, but, still, why does Iowa need to be sending troops to DC.

Does anyone have a ‘count’ of which states are sending troops and how many?

Out of date I’m sure, since it’s from 3 days ago, and it was reporting 20,000 and not 40,000, but it has a list as of that time.

Here is some good info here omn where the NG troops are coming from. 6,000 there Wednesday night, building up to 21,000 by 1/20/21.

We have less troops now in Iraq and Afghanistan, so it makes you wonder what the threat really is. It certainly is not from Trump supporters.

Sounds like they will under the control of the DC National Guard.

But the President may federalize them at any time, then they would all be under his control as Commander in Chief.
