We have less troops now in Iraq and Afghanistan, so it makes you wonder what the threat really is. It certainly is not from Trump supporters.
Sounds like they will under the control of the DC National Guard.
But the President may federalize them at any time, then they would all be under his control as Commander in Chief.

Was awaken by planes going over for about 45 min between 2-3 last nights. Lots of planes very loud. Absolutely no lights. This morning heard planes again but could not see any because of cloud cover. Finally found one extremely high headed due north (Indianapolis and Detroit possibly)
Remember that the troops are coming from a deployment. And if classified NG it takes only one sentence by POTUS to militarize them.
