It was reported that the only two justices that seemed upset by the ruling was Thomas and Alito. Sad that the three new ones were bought and paid for so quickly. I hope they burn in hell.
Still, it bothers me that neither Alito or Thomas (or Barrett, Kanenaugh or Gorsch) cast a dissenting minority vote accompanied by a dissenting opinion.
For one or a minority to dissent would not have changed the immediate outcome but would have given us a signal and some hope that all is not lost.
What went on behind closed doors to cause all 9 to feel a need to march in lockstep?
Threats? Blackmail? Something else?
IMHO Something so drastic and evil that even a highly principled man like justice Thomas did not feel free to vote his conscience.
