It was reported that the only two justices that seemed upset by the ruling was Thomas and Alito.

Still, it bothers me that neither Alito or Thomas (or Barrett, Kanenaugh or Gorsch) cast a dissenting minority vote accompanied by a dissenting opinion.

For one or a minority to dissent would not have changed the immediate outcome but would have given us a signal and some hope that all is not lost.

What went on behind closed doors to cause all 9 to feel a need to march in lockstep?

Threats? Blackmail? Something else?

IMHO Something so drastic and evil that even a highly principled man like justice Thomas did not feel free to vote his conscience.

They didn’t have any opinion to dissent to, did they? They didn’t hear the case because of no standing.

You’re right, I expected more from Thomas. And Alito. What the heck is going on in this country!
