Mulvaney predicts conservatives will move on from Trump
Mulvaney, who resigned last week as U.S. envoy to Northern Ireland, added that Trump supporters have broad overlap with the Tea Party movement, which elected Mulvaney to Congress in 2010.
“I can’t tell you the number of people who’ve supported me for a decade who are saying that Wednesday was a bridge too far,” he said. “They love Trump, they love the policies, they were really pleased with the successes of the first four years, but he lost them on Wednesday. And I think that’s the right thing. I think people need to know that what happened on Wednesday is just different.”

Mulvaney also defended pulling his support from the president after the riot as opposed to earlier widely-condemned moments like Trump’s comments to Billy Bush, which led Mulvaney to call Trump a “terrible human being.”
“That’s different. Policy differences are different. Stylized, stylistic differences are different. Things you don’t like about a person’s personalities are different than what happened on Wednesday,” Mulvaney said. “Wednesday was a fundamental threat to the United States.”

Trump did not leave the Capitol with fewer policeman than usual. I read that one policeman said he was sent home early in the day, which was very unusual. He was not called in when the disruptions began but he went in anyway.
Capital police knew every senator and congressman was in the Capitol and that there would be hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters on the mall. They did not have even adequate security around the Capitol building.
President Trump did not twice decline having the national guard on the Mall. Either they thought all Trump supporters would be as peaceful as we have been for five years at all those Trump rallies or someone involved in the Capitol’s security was in on the breach.
This is more information warfare. They’re trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his followers and as Rush has said they have been trying to do that for the past four years. Mulvaney and the rest are not really saying what POTUS did other than orange man bad.
It’s also the keep the focus off the election fraud by saying this event on Wed. is worse than the fraud. All of them (swamp) are hypocrites. None of what happened on Wed. changes the fact the government is broken.
