Even with low carb, I struggle to lose weight.
But, I have noticed that by eliminating carbs, I also eliminated the bloated stomach I had after meals. I eliminated joint pain in my wrists and knees and ankles. I believe I have avoided diabetes by going low carb. Diabetes plagued both my mother and grandmother. And, I believe that I have avoided this blood cancer from growing by being low carb. My cholesterol is at near “perfect” levels, neither too low, nor too high.
I don’t find it a difficult diet. Lots of fresh veggies, cheeses, real butter, cream cheese, and meat. There’s a whole lot of leeway with that menu.
However, weight loss is still on the slow side for me.
That’s great that you see such benefit from low carb. Sounds like it’s the way to go for you. Could be good for me too but I never last very long. I love carbs.... but I am trying to switch to all whole wheat. Some things are pretty good and some are awful.
