The Senate was designed by our Founders to be VERY establishment. But they’ve over done it the last four years.
If anything, he merely added to the existing confusion and division among the (R)'s.
If the (R) controlled state legislatures of the contested states: MI, WI, AZ, GA, PA would have acted unified and used their Article II Constitutional powers, there would be no need to have to rely on 51 U.S. Senators and 218 U.S. Reps to vote out enough elector votes to deny biden the steal.
The (R)'s are unified a small fraction of the time the (D)'s stick together.
Ironic that being an independent thinker, and not a collectivist, in this particular case, could be considered a negative.
Well i take the statement as more of a better thing than a disheartening thing.
First they didnt have to release any statement at all.
Second it shows he acknowledges there are constitutional things that can be done by Republicans and that he is not opposed to that occuring.
So i chalk it as one in the plus column at this point.

However the swing States listed have approved and sent another set of delegates whom are Republicans. The backup bunch I guess.
So whatever happens, they have electors ready to vote for the President.
If you look at what Lincoln did in 1860 - revoking habeas corpus and jailing Congress, there have been some pretty wild times in our history.
There has not been such a danger to our Republic since the Civil War, but this time over 1/2 of our populace are complete idiots regarding history or civics.
Waking up the masses is necessary - it falls just short of actual war against our domestic enemies.

My first thoughts about Wood's comments are not the most obvious. At first blush, it seems that Wood has lost his mind or is being, at the very least, imprudent.
Everybody is taking potshots at Wood for his obviously extreme and exaggerated Tweets against Roberts, Pence and others, but not for the reasons most FReepers think they are.
That's too easy to call Lin Wood a kook or crazy. Something else is going on.
No, I think Wood is, what another FReeper called him last night on another thread, a "dumpster fire", meant to distract and divert attention away from what is really going on.
IOW, he is acting as the bright shiny object that everyone is looking at when the real actions are going on elsewhere.
And if you don't understand what those actions may be, that is a good thing. Because that means neither do Trump's enemies and Wood's absurd Tweets are accomplishing their intended goals.
It may very well be that Wood has lost his mind but I doubt it. We won't know that until Jan. 6th when the Big Reveal about the Big Steal is going to take place.
In the meantime, I am going to give Wood the benefit of the doubt about what his Tweets really mean.
That’s not what happened: the Republican electors met and voted. In Michigan they were not allowed to enter the capitol, and I never heard what they ended up doing. So alternate sets of electoral college voting exist, but that’s a far cry from saying they were sent by the legislatures.
No states sent two sets of electors. Zero. None.
That was my understanding last I looked into it about a week ago.
The (R) state legislatures are either cowards, or ignorant of their authority.
Neither good.
