I never got into his music back then. He was just a little too weird for up-tight me. LOL!

The Boston Tea Party was a very “underground psychedelic” kind of venue, before it moved to Kenmore Square and went more “mainstream”. It was in a rundown section (now totally gentrified) and had been a a Ukrainian Orthodox Church, then a Black Gospel Church, and then an abandoned building. It still have “PRAISE YE THE LORD” painted high on the wall over the stage, left over from the Black Gospel Church. It was weird, considering the type of music that was being played there. Here are some of the bands I saw during those crazy years:

Paul Butterfield Blues Band
and others I can’t remember.
Who knew that a half century later, I would be in the FLORIDA Tea Party, and still saying “PRAISE YE THE LORD”!
